This day was a tragic day for the dolphins, and a tragic day for those whose efforts did not prevail as one of the worst of Japans actions took place. With 20 ft storm surge waves quickly approaching the sea pens in which many dolphins were being held, hundreds - if not thousands - of people worldwide raised their voices in opposition for the dolphins to be released... for Japan to show mercy... humanity... a heart; For the multiple innocent lives of the dolphins to be saved among a country that shows no signs of letting them live.
The waves came.. the fishermen retreated into their homes... those watching over the dolphins were forced to take shelter. The dolphins however, were not allowed the right to save themselves in their own home - The Ocean. Japan did not let their heart be a heart. My eyes are almost flooded with tears whenever I read the horrible update that deaths had taken place. It overwhelmed me how anybody can live with themselves knowing they had not even given another sentiment being the chance to live. But gave them no other choice than death.
Many of the dolphins are believe to have not made it. They were pushed against the side of the pens and were likely drown. Please pray for the lives that were lost, and for the lives that lay ahead for those still imprisoned.
